News doesn't happen in the office. Journalists and photographers work from various locations, where power, internet, and production equipment need to function flawlessly. To support a more flexible workday, SIEB Teknik has developed and built five specially equipped ENG vans for TV2. The goal was to create a mobile workplace where employees can work, communicate, and charge their equipment directly from the vehicle.

A mobile workspace made for everyday life

Each ENG vehicle is developed with a focus on functionality, ergonomics, and operational reliability, ensuring journalists and photographers have optimal working conditions, no matter where their daily assignments take them.

The solution includes, among other things:

Extra battery pack with 220 V power supply
Stable internet connection
Integrated work desk in the back seat
USB and power outlets for computers, mobile phones, and camera equipment
Specially designed storage and charging for camera and production equipment
Intelligent cable management and a functional layout

The result is a mobile workstation where employees can edit material, communicate with the editorial office, and prepare equipment directly from the vehicle. This saves time and makes the workday more efficient.

The solution has been developed with a long-term perspective. The installations are modular, so most of the systems can be moved to new vehicles when the cars are replaced. This reduces both costs and installation time and ensures a uniform, future-proof platform across the entire vehicle fleet.
